IBM Appoints Swedish Brain Scientist and Entrepreneur to Global AI Advisory Board

Orlando, Florida – At this week’s IBM TechXchange conference, thousands of technology pioneers are gathering to explore the latest advancements in artificial intelligence. Among the featured participants is Swedish AI company Edsvärd, which collaborates closely with IBM both globally and in Sweden.
Dr. Katarina Gospic, renowned brain scientist and co-founder of Edsvärd, has been invited to join IBM’s watsonx.data advisory board, alongside several of her colleagues. The board plays a strategic role in shaping the future of AI-driven data platforms.
“I am deeply honored and thrilled to join the watsonx.data advisory board, collaborating to shape a future where AI drives positive impact,” said Dr. Gospic.
“watsonx.data is a crown jewel in the IBM AI factory. It seamlessly integrates vast datasets to deliver insights at speed, transforming raw information into predictive, actionable intelligence and streamlining decision-making across industries,” she added.
Edsvärd’s presence at TechXchange highlights its innovative work with IBM, including the development of Samporten, a cutting-edge platform designed for the construction industry.
At its core is Charlie, an intelligent assistant built with the watsonx.ai API, which searches, summarizes, and presents key information from documents, and saves users from manually sifting through hundreds of files.
Another joint initiative between IBM and Edsvärd is revolutionizing contract intelligence. By extracting approximately 127 data points from invoices and contracts, the solution provides deep insights into contract fulfillment, deviations, defaults, and potential penalties, and helps empower enterprises to manage revenue and compliance more effectively.
